Library and Information Resources Network

LIRN, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, provides affordable access to online resources to support licensing and accreditation requirements for 300 colleges and universities in 42 US states and 7 countries.

With the LIRN Core Collections, students have access to millions of peer-reviewed and full-text journals, magazines, and newspaper articles, e-books, podcasts, audio, and video resources to support their academic studies, including resources from leading academic publishers, and covering topics for general education, business, medical programs, and more.

LIRNPortal®, built on Muse Knowledge Proxy, provides member institutions with easy-to-use and intuitive access to their subscription resources. Operated as a managed service, the portal can integrate with an institution’s existing user authentication systems. LIRNPortal is included with LIRN membership, ensuring institutions of all sizes can offer seamless access for students, faculty and staff from both on and off-campus.

The LIRNSearch®, powerd by Muse Knowledge Search, is fully integrated into the portal, allowing users to easily and securely search across subscription resources simultaneously and in real time.
